Technological basis of diagnostic technologies and products was created through research carried out by Dr. Oraevsky and his team over the period of 20 years initially in academia (Rice University and University of Texas) then in medical device industry (Fairway Medical Technologies, then TomoWave Laboratories, Houston, TX), during which time a number of original methods and systems for biomedical imaging, sensing and monitoring have been developed and patented.
It is noteworthy that Oraevsky's team accumulated exceptionally strong expertise in very sensitive methods of noninvasive diagnostics of health risk factors. Specifically, a lot of background research was devoted to compact and inexpensive technologies utilizing the power of cell phones for measurement of GGT in body fluids.
